Dear School Families,

This is our last letter for the 2016-2017 school year.

When our 8th graders graduate this Thursday, some of their families will be leaving our school as well. We wish to say a warm goodbye to those parents who have been an important part of our school community. They have gifted us with their time and talents during their years at Christ the King School and their presence will be missed.

Please join me in sending your thoughts and prayers to the following families:
To the Brown (Kieran), Cirelli, Guerrero, Marzo, McClaskey, Nevares (Cameron), Payne-Kraus, Peterson, Quintanilla-Sanchez, Ridgway, Stich, Tomkovicz, Zesati, Blair (Jordan), Cowling, Hanecak, Mitchell, Ocampo, Sherwood, Wehrlie, and Wozniak families.

Dismissal for next Friday is 9:30 a.m. We are inviting all parents to join us for our Final Missioning Mass at 8:00 a.m. next Friday June 9th. Following Mass all students will move to the assembly lines for the traditional “jumping of the lines”. All incoming kindergarteners and outgoing freshmen are also invited to join us. After we jump the lines, students will receive their report cards and dismissed.

The CTK faculty and staff have managed to raise my already extraordinary opinion of them by handling the pressures of the school year with grace and professionalism. The dividends of their hard work show in the success and happiness of our students. I have come to think of them like family. Crazy and dysfunctional but full of love and a desire to do the best for one another.

A huge thank you to all of the parents who have been so supportive this year. The school cannot maintain the level of service, opportunities for enrichment, athletic and social outlets without a massive network of parent volunteers who steer committees, raise funds, and selflessly give of themselves. I have been amazed by so many parents who are taking outreach to another level to express their appreciation for the teachers. The generosity shown throughout this school year is a testament to the spirit of the CTK families.
I am appreciative of our Pastor Fr. Paulson and the rest of our parish priests for their continued commitment to Christ the King Catholic School. We will continue trying new ways to bring The Gospel to students so that they may be edified in the word of God and their encounters with Christ are relevant to their daily lives.
Finally, I am most grateful to the students of Christ the King. It is in their smiles, their questions, their notes of thanks and letters that I find the strength to face each new day. They are truly wonderful children and I pray on a daily basis that God’s light continue to shine upon them and through them.
Have a safe a blessed summer.

REQUEST FOR PRAYERS: Prayers are requested for Barbie Sweeney who has been ill and is resting at home, and those who are fighting cancer, those who are sick, those who are recovering from surgery, those who are hungry, homeless and those who need our prayers.
