Dear School Families,

PRAYERS: Prayers are requested for Teresa Bolla, Mother of Dominic Bolla-Morris, (Gr. 8) who will be undergoing surgery tomorrow. Prayers are also requested for those who are sick, hungry, homeless, unemployed and all those in need of our prayers.

SCRIP: Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, scrip will be coming home on Tuesday November 21st. Office pick-up will be available until 3:00 p.m. Be sure to see the flyer in today’s Family Envelope.

GARDEN AWARENESS HANDBOOKS: We are looking for Garden Awareness Handbooks. If your family has one at home from last year or previous years, please return it to the School Office.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP ADVENT BREAKFAST GOODIES: Student Leadership and parent volunteers will host Advent Breakfast Goodies on Wednesdays, December 6th and December 13th. Your child may enjoy muffins, donuts, and bagels, plus beverages including hot chocolate and cider all served at 7:30 a.m. by the flagpole. Breakfast goodies range from $1 to $2 per item. The money generated from the Advent Breakfast Goodies will be used to purchase scrip for Saint Vincent de Paul Christmas dinner baskets.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT REMINDER: Save the Date! Christ the King School’s annual Christmas Concert performed by all students in Grades K-8 will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, at 7:00 p.m. in Church. Basic attire for the Christmas Concert is as follows; we will notify you if there are any additional details as we get closer to the date.

To celebrate this occasion, we ask our students to wear a dressed up version of free dress as follows:
• Boys: Pants - dark black or navy, collared shirt - jewel tone in deep purple, red, green or blue.
• Girls: Skirt - dark black or navy, shirt or dress - jewel tone in deep purple, red, green or blue.

Please follow the guidelines for free dress in the Parent Student Handbook and, for this festive occasion, no jeans, t-shirts, hats, or playtime attire.

GIFTS FOR ST. BONIFACE: Looking ahead, the San Francisco Police Department will once again be collecting gifts for St. Boniface Parish in San Francisco on Wednesday morning, December 20th. The SFPD will be on hand with their vehicles at our 8 a.m. morning assembly to load up our gifts for the less fortunate children and adults in the parish community in the Tenderloin District. Please keep this outreach in mind as you do your early holiday shopping. More info will follow on November 28th in the next Family Envelope.

STUDENT DESIGN CHALLENGE: The deadline for submitting entries in the Student Design Challenge for the new Pleasant Hill Library building has been extended to the end of November. Submit your dream design for the new library. See the flyer in today’s download.
