In addition to Constant Contact we are able to send emergency text messages to you. Incoming texts to you will be from 68453 or 67587. If you did not receive a text message last Friday morning and want to receive future texts: Text ‘y’ to 68453. Otherwise, you will not be able to receive texts from us.

• Halloween Parade: Students and Staff will gather around the lawn area at 8:00 a.m. after morning assembly.

• Halloween Costume “BOOS” and Don’ts!:

The costume must allow the child to function as a student while in class (all morning).

Students need to wear regular shoes for the day while out at recess and PE. Shoes must be changed after the parade.

Care is to be taken and consideration given to the ages of our Student Body. Costumes should not be too scary, gross, or violent.

The following are NOT allowed: weapons, gory makeup, animals, scary clown costumes, or immodest clothing (no bare midriff/short skirts/low cut necklines, etc.).

Students who do not wish to wear a costume may wear orange, black, or white colored non-uniform dress or their school uniform. Please refer to the Free Dress guidelines listed in the Parent-Student Handbook.

Students attending CLUB CTK after school should bring a change of clothes for the afternoon.

• Minimum Day: Dismissal at 12:00 p.m.

CLUB CTK Halloween Celebration: On Tuesday, October 31st, we will be celebrating Halloween at Club CTK. It will be a fun filled afternoon. We will be decorating pumpkins, decorating cupcakes and doing Halloween crafts.

Please email us at if your child will be joining us, even if they regularly attend CLUB, so we can purchase supplies ahead of time! We are looking forward to a fun afternoon!

Please note that there will not be homework time on this day.

WOMEN’S DAY OF RECOLLECTION: All women are welcome to join Sr. Carla Kovack, a San Rafael Dominican Sister, who will offer a morning of reflection on Saturday, October 28th from
8:30-12 p.m.  “A Long Loving Look” will lead us to see the revelation of God in creation.  Sr. Carla will incorporate Pope Francis’s words and current scientific understanding of our cosmos ~ to lead us to see the interconnection of all God’s creation. Tickets ($5.) will be on sale beginning October 14. Please contact Sr. Dominic at the Parish House if you are interested in attending.

CARONDELET HIGH SCHOOL/DE LA SALLE HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE: De La Salle Open House will be held on Sunday, November 5th from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Carondelet Open House will be held Sunday, November 5th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tour the campus and meet teachers and students.


SCRIP: From October 21st- 31st ShopWithScrip will be celebrating their Anniversary with 11 days of Flash Bonuses! They will be offering a new set of 24-hour flash bonuses from different retailers each day.  Make sure you are all set up on ShopWithScrip and PrestoPay so you don’t miss this opportunity.

BOX TOPS: It's time to turn in those Box Tops! Look for this type of image on hundreds of General Mills products throughout the grocery store (and your pantry)!  Each box top clip is worth 10 cents for our all adds up and it is free money for CTK!  All it takes is a small bit of your time to remember to clip and submit!!!

Our first Box Tops collection deadline is fast approaching! Please turn in all your Box Tops (and Labels for Education) by this Friday, October 20th to either your child's classroom or the front office. If turning into the office, please make sure to include your child's grade so the proper class gets the credit. The class that turns in the most Box Tops and Labels for Education from September - December will get a special treat in January!!!

PARENT ASSOCIATION: The Parents Association is selling extra items from the Golf Tournament. We have a limited amount of plastic cups with lids and straws for $8.00 and black folding chairs for $25.00. Both have the Christ the King Logo. Please make checks out to Christ the King. AUCTION UPDATE: CTK Auction - Interested in hosting an Experience for Auction? Experiences are the new sign-me-ups and can range from something like a picnic in the park to a parent party.  Would you like to participate in an event, but not sure where to start? The Parents Association is looking for someone who is interested in chairing the Mother/Son event. It’s a fun event for the boys/moms and we don’t want to see it go away. We have people who want to help but we just need someone to take the lead. If you are interested email Megan Lopoz at
