Dear School Families,

As the weather begins to turn to fall and it looks like we may get some rain please remember to adjust your schedules for getting to school and work accordingly. Do yourselves a favor and beat the stress by waking up 15 minutes early when we are expecting bad weather. Have a Happy Halloween and as always, be safe.

THANK YOUS: PA would like to thank everyone who attended the Halloween Ice Cream social this past Friday night!  It was extremely well attended and thanks to the time and effort of all the volunteers the night was a huge success!  Also, a big thank you to all the 7th and 8th graders who helped run the games and hand out prizes and a great big thank you to Kirsten Sawyer and Cristiane Branch who coordinated the Spooktacular Halloween Ice Cream Social!!

Thank you to all who donated money at the Halloween Ice Cream Social check in, we raised $150.00. This money will go to a Contra Costa County Firefighter who while on duty in Concord lost his home in Santa Rosa during the recent fires.

PRAYERS: Prayers are requested for the fire victims, for emergency workers, those who are sick, and those who are hungry, homeless, and unemployed.

FAMILY SERVICE/CLASSROOM VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS:  The online assignment system for classroom activities rolled out last week.  You should have received an e-mail with a direct link to the assignment page for each grade for which you have a child enrolled.  If you did not receive an email, send a request to ctk.fsh@gmail.com stating your name, your child’s name and grade, and the email address that you want entered into the system.  Please allow 24 hours for adjustments and an email resend to be completed.

Once in the system, you can view the activities assigned to you, as well as open activities still needing volunteers.  Room parents and event volunteer coordinators may add activities throughout the year, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved.  The system is configured to send reminder notifications one week prior to your assigned activities.  You are responsible for finding your own substitutes and updating the system.
Questions about your assignment? Contact your room parent(s).  Questions about the system?  First try the Help documents (they are very thorough!), or contact ctk.fsg@gmail.com.
Online volunteer hour entry is coming soon!
