Dear School Families,

A special thank you to Leo Lopoz and the Monsignor Wade Golf Tournament committee and to those parents who helped with getting the goodie bags ready and the raffle prizes. It was wonderful to see so many people out to support the school and to have a good time in a social environment. The proceeds will go to school programing such as our hands on science labs and tuition assistance. We will let you know what the proceeds are next week. If you have never attended I highly recommend getting involved for next year. 

Thank you to all families and students for their generous donations in support of the Hurricane Harvey victims. We collected $1,210.00. Checks will be sent to the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and to the American Red Cross.

REQUEST FOR PRAYERS: Please pray for all the hurricane ravaged communities, those who are sick, those without work, and those who are hungry and homeless and for peace in the world.

9/12: CTK YEARBOOK ORDERS: It’s time to order a yearbook for your student. Online ordering opens today at YBPay.lifetouch.comwith yearbook ID code: 1069318. 9/12: HURRICANE HARVEY MEETING: As Texas continues to feel the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, CTK Parish is inviting those interested to a meeting tonight, September 12th in Rooms A/B Christ the King at 7:00 p.m., to listen to ideas on how our own parish can help assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey on a long term basis.  Please join us if you can.

9/13: AUCTION TEAM MEETING: For all of those who have signed up or are interested in joining in the fun; our first meeting will be tomorrow Wednesday, September 13th at 7 p.m. in the Media Center. We would love for you to come with ideas!  In particular: 1) Any new fundraising ideas you may have, 2) Any suggestions you might have for the night of  3) A new donation source you think might be great to tap into and 4) a theme idea for the night (we're trying not to get decade specific). 9/19: CTK 9th ANNUAL WALK-A-JOG-A-THON FUNDRAISER: Now is the time to for your students to pound the pavement if they haven't already! With one week left until the Walk-a-Jog-a-Thon, you still have time to find sponsors. And don't forget matching corporate sponsors! This fun and active fall fundraiser raises money for outdoor and science education including Camp Caritas, our science program, garden awareness activities and various other projects and needs around our school that benefit all grades.

On Walk-a-Jog-a-Thon day, Pledge and Prize Selection Envelopes and money raised are due to the teachers. Students may wear free dress (weather appropriate, athletic attire encouraged, and tennis shoes are a must). Don't forget sunscreen and a good breakfast! PARENT STUDENT HANDBOOK: An updated version of the Parent Student Handbook is available on the school website at www.ctkschool.org. The signature page acknowledging that you and your children have read it was included in last week’s Family Envelope and is in today’s download. This signed form is due tomorrow, September 13th.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

SCRIP UPDATE: In order to complete the sign up process for Scrip and begin placing orders you must also sign up for Presto Pay on the Shop with Scrip website. This process may take several business days. Please sign up now. We are no longer accepting checks or cash as payment for Scrip.
