The following is a list of specific additions or changes made from the 2007-2008 handbook. There were word, grammar, or organizational changes made in a few places that are not noted here since they did not change the content or impact of the previous handbook. If you have any questions, please contact the school office. Please keep this addendum inside your old handbook for future reference. If you wish to have a complete copy of the updated 2008-2009 handbook you can download from the links above. Page 1: General Information - Update added regarding installation of Activboards in all of the classrooms.Page 2: Mission and Philosophy Statements and Student Learning Expectations have been updated Page 4-5: Faculty/Staff and Parish Staff lists have been updated. Page 6-7: School Board and PTG Board members have been updated. Page 10: Language Arts curriculum information has been updated and Music Program information added. Page 13: Under Daily School and Class Schedules-Morning recess time changed for 5th grade: 10-10:15 a.m. Page 14: Under Graduation Attire-8th graders will wear graduation gowns for the Awards Ceremony and Graduation. Page 16: Under Standardized Testing-ITBS Testing is for students in grades 2-8 only. Page 20: Under Attendance-Reporting Process-A call must be made to the office each day a child is absent, even during an extended illness. Page 21: Under Tardiness-Parents should be aware that excessive tardies can affect Catholic high school acceptance. Page 33: Under Disasters and School Emergencies-Remove Parish Ministry Center phone number from emergency list. Page 40: Under Tuition-Updated Tuition Contract amounts and discounts. Page 41: Under CTK School Fund Assessment-School Fund assessment period is May 7, 2008-May 1, 2009. Escrip dates are January 1, 2008-December 31, 2008. Page 57: Under Media Publication Ð Student identification on student work or photographs Page 58: Under To and From School-Do not use cell phones while driving through the schoolyard: Hands-free devices only if needed. Page 65: Under Student Activities-Performing Arts and Newspaper Programs have been added. Page 72: Under Uniform Policy-Changes made under Shoes to reflect change: Shoes must be solid white or solid black with no accent colors. Under Socks-Clarified solid white or blue with no trim, stripes, designs, etc. Page 73: Under Free Dress Apparel-Added athletic shoes only-No color restrictions.
