This year is the beginning of the journey in junior high for the Class of 2021. Our sixth graders are learning how to navigate their classes, use Google Classroom and Chromebooks, and are learning how to be more responsible and independent students.
In Math, we are reviewing the Order of Operations (PEMDAS) and learning about exponents, prime and composite numbers, factor trees, and how to evaluate expressions. Students have daily math homework assignments and have math review games on Fridays. If there is time at the end of class, students are encouraged to use the Mathletics website, or perhaps play a quick game of "Buzz" to review math facts.
We are looking forward to a great year of learning and discovery with our sixth graders!
